"Speculation surrounding the wedding of Natalie Imbruglia and Daniel Johns has moved up a notch, with insiders pointing to
an island ceremony off the Queensland coast on New Year's Eve.
Invitations are believed to have been sent out last week to friends and relatives of the couple, with no details printed
about the exact location. But sources have revealed the couple is planning a huge wedding party, most likely in the Whitsundays.
Guests have reportedly been told they will be flown to a secret destination, then taken by bus to the ceremony.
Reports about the wedding have varied widely, with the couple originally expected to get married in Johns's home town
of Newcastle. Hunter Valley locals are still pinning their hopes on the celebrity couple tying the knot in the region.
Johns's manager, John Watson, was reluctant to give away too many clues about the event last week, but confirmed
the couple have employed a full-time wedding planner to organize the day."

SILVERCHAIR frontman Daniel Johns is due to marry pop princess Natalie Imbruglia on a far north Queensland island tomorrow.
The couple are understood to have flown into Cairns airport tonight and were driven off the tarmac in a gold limousine.
Their wedding destination remains a tightly kept secret but there's speculation it will be on Lizard or Bedarra islands.
Both are exclusive resort islands.
Johns, 24, and Imbruglia, 28, confirmed their engagement in January after Johns proposed with a ring made by a jeweller
in the Silverchair lead singer's home town of Newcastle.

SILVERCHAIR frontman Daniel Johns and pop princess Natalie Imbruglia were married today in a secret ceremony at a tropical resort.
The couple, engaged earlier this year, were surrounded by family and close friends in a secluded tropical location in Australia, a spokesman said.
Guests described the ceremony as a "beautifully moving, non traditional, spiritual ceremony."
Imbruglia wore a silk chiffon v-necked gown, with a hand draped layered handkerchief hem, designed by Beverley Hills designer, Monique Lhuillier.
She wore a neckpiece which she co-designed with Los Angeles-based designer Kaviar and Kind and shoes by Jimmy Choo Couture.
Natalie was attended by her five-year-old niece Ella. Johns wore a vintage pale blue suit.
Following the ceremony, guests feasted on a banquet of locally grown produce, in a room filled with cascades of fresh daisies, for the wedding breakfast.
Guests were entertained by a live, orchestral soundscape which was composed especially for the event. Internationally renowned DJ, Paul Mac completed the entertainment.
The spokesman refused to reveal where the wedding was held, but it believed the glamour couple were married at the exclusive Thala Beach Lodge, at Oak Beach, near Port Douglas.
A spokesman for the resort said today the resort had been closed for renovations but a large white marquee could be seen on the lawn inside.
The 85-room resort has shut its doors to the public for the next two days but wedding guests were seen being loaded into buses outside a Cairns hotel for the journey to the resort.
Marketed as a member of the "small Luxury Hotels of the World", Thala Beach Lodge room prices range from $336 a night to $2165 for the honeymoon suite.
The lodge is situated on 145 acres and fronts onto two kilometres of sandy beach.

It was an Aussie musical union of massive proportions. Pop star Natalie Imbruglia wed Silverchair frontman Daniel Johns in a secret New Year's Eve ceremony at a balmy tropical resort.
The Down Under "I dos" took place Wednesday (due to the International Dateline, the Aussies are the first to sing "Auld Lang Syne") at the Thala Beach Lodge near Port Douglas on Australia's northeast coast, reports the Australian Associated Press.
It's a first marriage for both songbirds.
Imbruglia, 28, and John, 24, who announced their engagement last January, flew into the nearby airport at Cairns Tuesday night and were whisked away in a gold limo.
The bride wore a silk chiffon V-necked gown, with a hand-draped layered handkerchief hem, designed by Beverley Hills designer Monique Lhuillier, according to the AAP.
The groom sported a vintage pale blue suit.
In common celeb practice, the newly minted couple will sell one snapshot of their happy day with proceeds going to their favorite charity.
Imbruglia, who's previously been linked to David Schwimmer and Lenny Kravitz, rose to stardom in her native country as an actress on the soap opera Neighbors, also a breeding ground for fellow popster Kylie Minogue.
She achieved international fame with her chart-topping single "Torn" off her multiplatinum-selling 1997 album Left of the Middle. The disc earned her Billboard and MTV Video Music Awards and three 1999 Grammy nominations, including Best New Artist.
While the brunette babe didn't manage to duplicate that success with 2002's White Lillies Island, she did make a return to acting with a lead role in Rowan Atkinson's 2003 laffer Johnny English, which did so-so business in the U.S. but was a major hit abroad. She should put the finishing touches on her third album after her honeymoon.
Johns started a garage grunge band with drummer Ben Gillies and bassist Chris Joannou in 1992. Their debut album, 1995's Frogstomp went platinum on its release when the rockers were just 15 years old. The trio received critical acclaim for their follow-up albums, including Diorama, Neon Ballroom and Freak Show.

The couple were engaged in January after Johns proposed with an engagement ring of an envy-cut diamond set in platinum from a Newcastle jeweller and 200 pink and yellow roses.
They met in 1999.
The pair split after 12 months before reconciling a year later.

Stars head for secret honeymoon

CELEBRITY newlyweds Natalie Imbruglia and Daniel Johns flew into Brisbane yesterday on their way to a secret honeymoon destination.
The couple married in Port Douglas, north of Cairns, on Wednesday morning, staying for just three nights at the exclusive Thala Beach Resort where they tied the knot.
Arriving on a Qantas commercial flight about noon yesterday, the pair managed to avoid attention by disembarking on to the tarmac at Brisbane airport, where they were escorted away in a white sedan.
The couple's honeymoon location remains a closely guarded secret.
However, speculation is rife that they may be headed for a southeast Queensland beach after opting to fly into Brisbane rather than taking a direct flight to Sydney.
Johns was sporting a chunky, flat-topped wedding ring and a white cowboy hat on arrival, while his new bride carried a matching red hat and two large bags.
About 60 guests attended the couple's wedding, where they exchanged vows in the morning before celebrating with guests at a breakfast banquet.
Imbruglia, 28, and Johns, 24, have been together for about four years, during which time the Silverchair singer has had to battle crippling reactive arthritis.

В конце прошлого века, а именно, в далеком 1999 году Имбрулия подумала: "О, сегодня тут
выступает ВИА СеребрянаяТабуретка, а не пойти ли мне на их концерт, на диске то вроде ничего играют" и пошла.
Одна. Послушала концерт, направилась в бар (наш человек 
), недалеко тусовались
и музыканты СеребрянаяТабуретка, "а не подъехать ли мне к мистеру Джонсу" - подумала Имбрулия,
и подъехала посредством одного из членов банды. Вот так они с Джонсом и познакомились, Бэт из австралийского мыла "Соседи",
исполнившая хит всех времен и народов "Торн" разорвав чарты, и молодое дарование в стиле гранж, продавшее миллионы альбомов еще
в возрасте 15-ти лет. Был у них и период разлуки, приблизительно год, но когда она увидела его вновь, то поняла - это Лафф с большой
буквы Л. Люди они занятые, то запись, то гастроли, то съемки, то депрессия, времени на свадьбу особо и не было. Потом еще очень
редкая болезнь Джонса дала о себе знать. Если не ошибаюсь, то в начале 2002 группа прекратила концертную деятельность, т.к. он не
мог даже играть на гитаре. Он был практически полностью парализован. Это вирус, живущий в нем. Весной 2002 на Багамах снимался клип
на "Бьюти Он Зе Фаер", а Джонс парализованный валялся в больничке, такой шоу-бизнес. Летом 2002-го же снимали
"Джонни Английский", сделали паузу, Имбрулия полетела навестить Джонса. Официальная медицина развела руками, но
Натали натащила каких-то полу-шаманов и к осени выходила своего принца. Незадолго до нового 2003-го года

церемонии. Слухи о свадьбе появились в январе прошлого года, точнее, стало известно, что на католическое рождество (25 декабря 2002)
они обручились. Имбрулия говорила примерно так:
"сначала новый альбом (соответственно и промо-кампания, гастроли), а потом, в 2004-ом свадьба".
Весной даже называли дату - 15 декабря 2003, но это были слухи. А дата выхода альбома, между тем, уже перенесена дважды. Ближе
к концу прошлого года слухи о свадьбе возобновляются. Самые первые опять твердили о 15-ом декабря, но чуть позже произошла утечка
информации (планы держались под грифом ОВ - Особой Важности, это даже круче, чем Сов. Секретно
)
Свадьбе быть на новый год.
И вот это свершилось. Вторник, 30-ое декабря, золотистый лимузин, аэропорт, среда, 31-ое, Австралия, живописный пляж недалеко
от порта Дуглас (я тоже не знаю, где это ) около 60 гостей, церемония бракосочетания,
венок невесты прилетает в Кайли Миноуг
(к счастью, обошлось без переломов )
пышное застолье в вегетарианском стиле парочка исчезает в неизвестном направлении
посредством воздушного судна.

Посмотрел, что пишут в статьях о свадьбе, ссылки на сканы которых были в прошлый раз. Ниже приведу выдержки.
Подружкой невесты была уже не мало раскрученная племянница (дочь старшей сестры Imbruglia) Ella, выглядевшая как маленькая фея.
Из знаменитостей (по всей видимости, у них это знаменитости) были:
Guy Pearce (тоже из Соседей) с женой Kate Mestitz, David Helfgott, Richard Branson, DJ Paul Mac
(это с ним у Джонса новая группа), Chris Joannow и Ben Gillies (коллеги по Silverchair).
Утверждается, что никакой Kylie Minogue, которая так удачно вписалась в рассказ ,
на самом деле не было, ровно как не было и Nicole Kidman с Naomi Watts, о приглашении которых раннее ходили слухи.
Имбрулия заказывала платье от кутюр по знакомству, а Джонс был одет по-простому.
Церемония была чисто семейная на 60..100 человек.
